The mission of the Economic Development Committee is to help bridge the gap between wealth and poverty. The current initiative of Delta Sigma Theta is “Financial Fortitude.”
This is a process that helps to define financial goals, develop a plan to achieve those goals and put the plan into action. Columbia Alumnae partners with the Howard County Department of Housing for Affordable Housing; with St. John Baptist Church and Grass Roots for the Cold Weather Shelter; and with Success in Style to assist women and men in crisis, in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor to become self-sufficient.
